The Immigrant project began toward the end of 2010 as a solo project for producer/instrumentalist Jon Henderson. For the 5 years previous, Jon worked as a producer in regional Germany, the moniker coming from the affectionate nickname he acquired during this time.As a DJ, Jon has also enjoyed solid success, playing gigs all over Europe, including Space Ibiza, Sonar Festival Barcelona and tours of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, England, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland.

Since it’s inception The Immigrant has grown to incorporate and centre around Jon and his childhood friend the talented lyricist/ vocalist & songwriter Danny Ross. The pairs debut single “Through the Wire”, made an impressive impact in Australia achieving heavy rotation on the leading national broadcaster, Triple J whilst their second single , “Summer of Love (She Said)” stormed onto the ARIA Club Chart at 14  and remained in the chart for over 3 months.

Remixes from Tommy Trash and Angger Dimas were supported by world dance heavyweights Tiesto and Laidback Luke and the video appeared in Australia on Channel V, Video Hits and Rage.As a remixer The Immigrant has produced remixes which have consistently charted in the top 10 ARIA Club Chart for artists such as Art vs Science and many more.

With these, The Immigrant has set the stage for the release of their first extended player,“Capricorn”.The five track release is an eclectic mix of both moody and driving indie electronica.The soon to be released first single off the EP, “Day out of Time”, comes with remixes from Australias finest Dubstep export, ShockOne, and The Only and Acid Jacks.
